In the recent years there has been a policy of the Legislature authority to strengthen the sanctions imposed for violations of the Road Traffic Act. Some of them are justified since their goal is to prevent accidents on the road etc., but others do not find any factical or legal reason, and also they put up the question wheter they are in compliance with the Constitution. Those are, for example, the provisions of Art. 171, item 1, b. “D” and item 2, b. “K” of the RTA. These administrative meassures allows Traffic Police authorities, in event that a routine check reveals the existence of unpaid fines to withold your driver’s license and remove your own vehicle registration plates.
In order not to remain “in the middle of the road” without a car and driver’s license, check for existance of unpaif fines at:

In case you have paid any fines, we advise you to keep the payment reciept in the vehicle in order to have explicit proof of payment. It is also not uncommon for the cases when the Ministry of Interior systems do not properly account the payment of your debts. Thats why the payment reciept is a guarantee to evade such unpleasant situation.
If you have doubts that you are imposed with a fine or other sanction for an violation committed by someone else or has expired the limitation period for execution, contact us to take action to remove the fine from the registers.
